Liquid Alchemy Beverages (LAB) swept the Mead Free or Die competition in New Hampshire taking home five awards in total including Meadery of the Year and four individual awards. LAB adds these medals to other awards from the American Mead Association and Mazer Cup.
“We are excited and grateful to have won Meadery of the Year in addition to our other medals,” said Terri Sorantino and Jeff Cheskin, owners of the meadery. “Mead Free or Die is an important competition in our industry and we’re thrilled to come out on top.”
In addition to Meadery of the Year, LAB won four medals for their other mead flavors:

- Red-Cowabunga
- Franken-Cyser
Mead Free or Die is an international mead only competition for both amateurs and professional mead makers. The professional mead-makers competition has 38 total awards and awards meadery of the year, to the meadery earning the most points.
