The Colombian golfer turned professional in 2017 and has since then featured a lot on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica, Korn Ferry Tour, and the Colombian Tour. He officially made his debut on the PGA Tour in the 2022-23 season. Nearly three years later, he made his debut at the 2025 Masters and ended up winning the Par 3 contest. Echavarria has also signed a deal with Stephens Inc., an independent financial services firm. The deal is in place as part of their golf ambassador program. Echavarria will wear the company’s logo on his apparel while also taking part in corporate events and client outings. He did not make the cut line at either of the majors he appeared in 2023, the PGA Championship and the US Open. Echavarria, however, did finish 54th at the 2024 US Open. The 2025 Masters is only his fourth major in his career.
He earned an invite to this year’s tournament at the Augusta National Golf Course, courtesy of his victory at the 2024 Zozo Championship. The University of Arkansas alum will be put to the test against the toughest golfers in the world, but Echavarria is likely to be unbothered. He has already set the ball rolling by winning the Masters Par 3 contest.

The Colombian was tied with JJ Spaun for a 5-under score before defeating him in a playoff that took place at the Carolina Cherry hole. However, so far, no Masters par 3 contest winner has gone on and won the Green Jacket in the same year, a curse that has been in play since the creation of the par 3 contest in 1960.
