New industrial complex of the S. Tulumba group opens in September and creates 4000 jobs

A new industrial complex, geared towards the large-scale production of various essential food products, as well as hygiene products, will open its doors in Luanda in September. This is the Kikuxi Industrial Complex, an initiative of the Silvestre Tulumba Group, which aims not only to boost national production and reduce the need for imports, but also to promote employment, with the creation of approximately 4000 jobs.

The project, which is being developed through the Pólo Industrial de Bebidas e Alimentos de Angola Lda (POIBA), will have production focused on essential food products, beverages and even hygiene products.

Pasta, biscuits, milk, condensed milk, butter, yogurts, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, soybean, sunflower and palm oils are some of the products that will be produced in this complex, whose inauguration will take place as part of the festivities of the country's 50th anniversary of independence.

According to a press release, the factory will also have a beverages segment, manufacturing soft drinks, natural juices, water, beer and wines.

In addition to the food and beverage segment, the enterprise will also produce hygiene products: toilet paper, sanitary pads, disposable diapers, shampoos, soaps, shower gel, bleach, toothpaste, napkins and kitchen rolls.

In terms of employability, the future complex foresees the creation of more than 4000 jobs, providing opportunities for young nationals, as well as fostering social inclusion.

"These jobs will be a stable source of income for many families and will represent an opportunity for professional development for Angolan youth, contributing to the reduction of unemployment and the strengthening of social inclusion," the statement said.

The group also believes that this initiative strengthens the commitment to food self-sufficiency and the development of the industrial sector in the country, ensuring a constant supply of essential products to the population.
