Dara Huang, who shares son 'Wolfie' with ex-partner Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, has shared a series of never-before-seen photos of the youngster to mark his ninth birthday
Princess Beatrice's adorable stepson celebrated his ninth birthday in style, and his mum has posted a collection of never-before-seen photos in tribute.
Dara Huang took to Instagram to shower her sweet son with love, giving royal fans a glimpse into his cheeky character. The US-born architect had little Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi, better known by his nickname 'Wolfie', with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi before he married Princess Beatrice.
The royal often fondly describes Wolfie her 'bonus child'. The couple share two daughters, three-year-old Sienna and baby Athena, who was born prematurely in January. On Friday, Dara posted an array of snaps alongside a sweet message, explaining that she'd had 'the best day with him'.

Another adorable photo shows the pair dressed up in Little Red Riding Hood themed costumes, with Wolfie taking on the role that lives up to his namesake: the sly wolf.
The dressing up doesn't end there as another photo shows the now nine-year-old dressed as Dracula, looking less than impressed. In the fourth and final snap, Wolfie could be seen sitting in his high chair ready for dinner.
“Happy Birthday to the light of my life. Every day is made brighter because you are in it. Thank you God for making me a mom. This is the best job I will ever have,” she wrote alongside a string of hashtags.
In a later comment shared under the post, Dara added: “It all happens so fast before you know it, he won’t want mom everywhere with him anymore… I am going to keep clinging on for as long as I am still “cool” had the best day with him today.”
In response to the sweet snaps, Dara’s followers flocked to the comments section where they gushed over the birthday tribute. “So adorable Happy Blessed Birthday to the young man! Have a great year Wolfie,” wrote one.
“The most talented boy ever! And wishing Wolfie a very happy birthday,” another added. Meanwhile, a third commented: “Cuteness Happy birthday to you both xx.”
Dara shares Wolfie with Beatrice's now-husband Edoardo. Over the years, the parents have opened up on their family life, with Dara previously discussing the reality of co-parenting with Harper's Bazaar.
“Wolfie has had two sets of parents trying to help him on both sides, and I just think, 'The more, the merrier,'” she said. “I feel lucky to have such positive people around him, who really embrace him - because it didn’t have to be so easy.”
She added: “I don’t understand people who are divorced and then hold their children as collateral; that doesn’t make any sense. It’s about creating a happy home and lifestyle.”
Dara and Edoardo welcomed Wolfie into the world in 2016, two years before they called off their engagement. In 2020, Edoardo, who owns a property architecture and design company, married Princess Beatrice in an intimate ceremony, attended by fewer than 20 guests, at The Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: “The couple decided to hold a small private ceremony with their parents and siblings following the postponement of their wedding in May. Working within Government guidelines, the service was in keeping with the unique circumstances while enabling them to celebrate their wedding with their closest family.”
For the special occasion, Princess Beatrice’s father Prince Andrew walked her down the aisle and hosted a reception at his home The Royal Lodge, Windsor. Meanwhile, Wolfie was best man and pageboy. A friend of the couple told The Daily Mail Wolfie was asked to carry out the role because they wanted to show that he is loved and embraced by his stepmother.
Dara and Edoardo have remained good friends since their split, and after the engagement was announced Dara told the Daily Mail: “I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families.”
Since their wedding, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo have gone on to have two daughters, Sienna, three, and Athena, two months.
