Former tennis pro and model Anna Kournikova has largely retreated from public view - but that doesn't mean she isn't living a life of luxury.

The Russian, 43, resides in a jaw-dropping $26 million Miami mansion with her husband, pop icon Enrique Iglesias. Kournikova first made waves in the sporting world as a teenager, making her debut on the WTA Tour at just 14 years old.

Although she never clinched a singles title, she did reach a career-high ranking of world No. 8 in November 2000. Her best solo Grand Slam performance was at Wimbledon in 1997, where she advanced to the semi-finals, only to be defeated by eventual champion Martina Hingis in her All England Club debut.

Hingis later became her doubles partner, and together they secured two Australian Open victories and reached the French Open final. However, Kournikova's time at the pinnacle of tennis was brief due to severe back and spinal issues that led to her early retirement in 2003.

Away from the court, she became a sensation, featuring in films, gracing magazine covers, and becoming the most searched athlete online. It was through one of these off-court activities that she first encountered Iglesias.

She starred in the music video for his 2001 hit "Escape". The couple began dating later that year and have been inseparable ever since.

Having spent most of his childhood in Miami, Kournikova moved there with Iglesias and became an American citizen in 2010. They currently live in a stunning waterfront mansion.

Iglesias, 49, reportedly snapped up two plots of land in the elite gated community of Bay Point back in 2009. Just one of these plots is said to have cost him a cool $5M.

However, that figure seems modest when compared to the estimated $26M total price tag for constructing the property. After nearly four years of building, it was finished in 2013.

The residence boasts around 20,000 square feet of living space, including seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. Inside, there's a home gym where Kournikova has been seen working out. Outside, there's an expansive swimming pool and – fittingly – a tennis court.

Once they settled into their dream home, Iglesias and Kournikova started their family. She gave birth to fraternal twins, Lucy and Nicholas, in December 2017, and they welcomed their second daughter, Mary, in January 2020.

Of course, modifications were needed to make the property child-friendly. A 16-foot wall was built around the garden perimeter to keep them safe and away from the two docks on the property.

Adjustments have been made, including a new guest house being built to the south of the garden (

The estate is also encircled by towering palm trees and hedges, which don't obstruct the breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay. Another addition over the years is a two-story single-family dwelling to the south of the garden, adjacent to the tennis court.

This serves as the ideal guest house. As noted, the family leads a private life, save for the occasional social media post.

Kournikova was spotted making a rare public appearance in January. She was seen being pushed around Bal Harbour Shops in a wheelchair.

She sported an orthopedic boot during her outing. She was accompanied by a friend who was pushing her wheelchair and her daughters.

The nature of her injury and how it happened is still unknown. However, she has the comfort of her dream home to recuperate in.
