German shares edge up 0.37 pct

FRANKFURT, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 58.13 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 15,851.75 points.

Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 1.40 percent. Housing association Vonovia and manufacturing and electronics company Siemens added 1.32 percent and 1.04 percent, respectively.

Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical lost the most among the blue chips, falling 1.81 percent. Energy group RWE and Deutsche Bank went down by 0.76 percent and 0.53 percent, respectively.

German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most-traded share with a turnover of 85.62 million euros (100.70 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 3.11 percent to close at 1.715 euros per share on Friday.
